About this Event
This is a Free In-Person Event at Banyen Books in Vancouver.
Join internationally bestselling author and Rising Woman founder Sheleana Aiyana at Banyen Books for a talk & book signing on her new book, The Four Seasons of Heartbreak: How to Mend Your Spirit and Move Forward After a Breakup.
Heartbreak is loss, and with loss comes real grief. Yet in the rush to “move on,” we can resist the natural rhythms of healing. Drawing on the cycles of the natural world, Sheleana offers a compassionate new way to understand heartbreak through four inner seasons: Autumn for gathering and letting go, Winter for grieving and rest, Spring for tentative new beginnings, and Summer for opening again to love and joy. Blending personal experience with insights from somatic healing, family systems, trauma-informed psychology, and conscious relationship, she explores how heartbreak can become not only an ending, but an opening into deeper self-knowledge, transformation, and a renewed capacity to love.
“Few people write and speak about healing with the tenderness, clarity, and courage that Sheleana Aiyana brings to both her life and her work.”
—Elizabeth Gilbert, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Eat Pray Love
“Every ending carries within it the possibility of transformation. The Four Seasons of Heartbreak is a thoughtful and healing guide for anyone seeking to grow through loss and open to love again.”
—Harville Hendrix & Helen LaKelly Hunt, co-authors of Getting the Love You Want
“Heartbreak is one of life’s greatest teachers, and Sheleana offers a roadmap for moving through it with grace and self-awareness.”
