About the Authors
Sharon M. Chubbuck is associate professor emerita in the College of Education at Marquette University. Her commitment to racial justice has guided her work with students and teachers, informed her research and scholarship for national and international audiences, and continues now in faith and community settings.
Cynthia M. Ellwood is clinical associate professor and director of graduate studies in Educational Policy and Leadership at Marquette University. A lifelong activist, she was a founding editor of Rethinking Schools and was previously a teacher, principal, and regional executive in Milwaukee Public Schools.
