Now, we’re gathering for lunch in the sukkah to celebrate the first year of Share Shabbat and everyone who helped bring it to life.
Sukkot feels like the right place for this celebration. With its open sides and temporary walls, the sukkah reminds us that welcome is something we create together. Over the past year, Share Shabbat has sparked new friendships and meaningful conversations around tables and throughout our congregation.
If you have participated in Share Shabbat, we hope you’ll join us and bring the friends, neighbors, coworkers, or loved ones you have welcomed along the way.
Haven’t participated yet? Consider this your invitation. Bring a non-Jewish friend or two and experience Share Shabbat for yourself. We’ll enjoy lunch, reflect on what this first year has made possible, and begin imagining where we go from here.
