About this Event
Social enterprise the Growth Company is hosting a morning workshop on the future of employment support in Greater Manchester.
The event will bring together key stakeholders who have a vested interest in the subject, including regional partners, VCFSE organisations, and local employers. Our aim is to provide a forum for people to discuss the challenges and opportunities when it comes to creating more joined-up, person-centred support for residents and businesses alike.
We are delighted to be joined by two guest speakers who will help set the scene for the discussion:
- Dr Katy Jones, Professor of Work and Skills and Head of the Decent Work and Productivity Research Centre at Manchester Metropolitan University.
- Subrahmaniam Krishnan-Harihara, Director of Business Policy and Research at Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce.
Drawing on their expertise in employment, skills, economic development, and the future labour market, the pair will share insights into the current employment and employment support landscape.
As well as sharing ideas and identifying opportunities for collaboration, attendees will have the chance to learn more about the Growth Company and explore potential future partnership and supply chain opportunities.
We don't have all the answers, and this isn't about showcasing a particular model. It's about bringing together expertise from across the region to learn from each other, identify common priorities, and help shape future solutions together.
