Spring's own Shake Russell has been a Texas songwriter for more than fifty years. Waylon Jennings and Jessi Colter cut Deep in the West. Ricky Skaggs took You've Got a Lover up the charts. Clint Black recorded songs they wrote together.
He still lives right here in Spring. Come early for dinner, then hear the catalog from the guy who wrote it.
