Brand New Series of Concerts in the Magnificent, surroundings of the Spectacular St Nicholas Chapel Kings Lynn.

We are absolutely delighted to announce that legendary jazz-funk pioneers Shakatak are coming to King's Lynn.
Formed in the late 1970s and rising to international success throughout the 1980s, Shakatak became synonymous with smooth grooves, infectious melodies and sophisticated jazz-funk energy. With classic hits including “Night Birds”, “Down on the Street” and “Easier Said Than Done”, they helped define an era — and they remain one of the UK’s most enduring live acts.
For live performances the band consists of the four original members Bill Sharpe (keys), Jill Saward (lead voc, perc & flt), Roger Odell (drs) & George Anderson (bs gtr), augmented with a guitarist and a backing vocalist/saxophonist, producing a musically dynamic and entertaining show from the 6-piece line-up.
Expect tight musicianship, feel-good rhythms, unmistakable harmonies and that unmistakable Shakatak sound that has filled dancefloors and concert halls around the world for decades.
