You're invited to the last SHAGTICE of the 2026!This is our sixth edition of SHAGTICE and the community is steadily growing. We had our highest attendance at the last one in September, so let's make this one even bigger to end the year with a bang.
As always, this peer-led practice is an opportunity to focus on a move or transition or something else shag-related that you want to spend some time on. (We even cover transitions to Bal and Charleston)
Maybe you want to figure out a new Shag shape you've seen on a YouTube clip or practice a move you've learnt in any of the RHS Shag series, or seen elsewhere. Whatever it is, this is the place to do it.
Some Shag dancing experience is necessary. If you know you're Slows from your Quicks, then you're golden. (If not, there'll be another RHS Shag 3 series coming soon :) )
The cost of the studio rental is shared between everyone taking part, which is usually about $5. That's a pretty sweet deal for 2 hours of high level practice.
But we don't want there to be any financial barriers to anyone, so if you want to join in but can't spare the cash, then just message us beforehand and we'll figure something it.
Shag enthusiasm is a currency in itself, and something we want to encourage.
Any questions, just message one of us (Anthony, Shannon, Brandon or Cassandra).
Help us spread the word. Get those sofa shaggers back on the dance floor. We really want to have a sustainable Shag community in Victoria to compliment the thriving Lindy, Bal and other dance scenes. Dare I say it, one that potentially rivals the biggest in Canada.
