The Challenge:Current students, leasers and boarders of Sun Fire Stables schedule & ride in 5 lessons (sorry, lease rides don't count) in the month of November at Sun Fire Stables, and even for a small portion of the lesson, ride without stirrups. Entrants will receive a beautiful & unique rosette style SFS No Stirrups November ribbon upon completion as well as each age division (youth, teen & adult) will have a drawing for awesome prizes! This challenge is great for any age or level rider.
This is a no worries-low stress FUN challenge!! All SFS current lesson students, leasers and boarders are eligible to participate. Every lesson ride with a portion without stirrups counts! The main goal of the challenge is to complete at least 5 rides in lessons without using stirrups for a portion or all of the ride (at lease 5 minutes no stirrups per ride). You do not have to do the entire ride without stirrups. This is a great opportunity to enjoy the many physical and mental benefits to riding with no stirrups!
Plan on starting out slowly and gradually, building balance, stamina and confidence a little more time each week. Each rider decides what is the best amount of time per activity for themself and their critter during the instruction of Jennifer or Paige. All riders need to complete the challenge and submit their completed calendar by Dec. 4th, so you can be entered into the LIVE drawing for prizes - Saturday December 5th at then end of Youth Christmas Fun Show- and receive your ribbon!

Common Questions:
· How many rides can I count per day? You can count up to 2 rides per horse per day, for example: a 4pm & 7pm lesson.
· How many horses can I use? Use one or multiple horses to complete the challenge.
· Who does the tracking? You do! This challenge is on the honor system. Lying doesn’t show good sportsmanship and isn't cool. If you cheat, you're only cheating yourself.
· How do the drawings work? There will be several different age categories for each drawing: Youth (ages 12 and under) Teen (13-19 years) and Adult (20 years and above)

You can download the calendar from an email request or can be found on our SFS Facebook page starting in November.
Making the Calendar:
Download the calendar to your phone and mark it up digitally or print it out and write on it. You may mark a check mark over the days you ride without stirrups or write more details if you’d like such as “Rode Rookie without stirrups at 3pm lesson for 20 minutes at the walk and trot”.
Cost:
For each participant the cost is $15 for Level Up members and $20 for Non-Members. All completing challenge participants receive a custom No Stirrups November rosette ribbon and will be added into drawings for prizes worth over $200!!

Bingo cards will be handed out (level appropriate) to play Bingo November 1st and after. Once you accomplish tasks on your card, mark it out, and see if you can get a Bingo by the end of the challenge. More prizes awarded for this as well. Total Black Out Bingo cards have a special drawing of their own!
