🛑 Having a harassment policy isn’t enough. Can you demonstrate the steps your business is taking to prevent harassment?
From 30 October 2026, employers must take all reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment. They will also become liable for harassment of employees by third parties, such as customers, visitors and contractors, if they have failed to take all reasonable steps to prevent it.
But what do those steps actually look like? The law doesn’t give you a checklist, and the official guidance isn’t written with small businesses in mind. So we’ll help you work out what they mean for your business.
Join Precision HR for our practical workshop:
Sexual & Third-Party Harassment: What Do “All Reasonable Steps” Actually Look Like?
Held shortly after the changes take effect, our November session will help you review your approach, ask questions and identify practical next steps, particularly timely with Christmas parties and festive work events approaching.
We’ll explore:
✅ What “all reasonable steps” looks like in practice
✅ Risks involving customers, clients, visitors and contractors
✅ Briefing visitors, subcontractors and suppliers on your standards
✅ Policies and preventative measures
✅ Starting a harassment risk assessment for your own organisation
✅ Employee training and clear reporting processes
✅ How to evidence the action you’ve taken
📋 Every attendee will receive a FREE harassment risk assessment template, which you’ll start completing during the session, plus practical examples and suggested wording, such as briefings for visitors and subcontractors.
