About this Event
Sewing Foundations: Beginner Course
Learn to sew with skills you can use long after your first project.
In this six-class course, you’ll learn how to set up and use a sewing machine, understand fabric and cutting, sew accurate seams and hems, and read a beginner sewing pattern. You’ll practice each skill on its own before using what you’ve learned to work on a simple final project.
Along the way, you’ll build a portfolio of labeled sewing samples. By the end, you’ll have a stronger foundation for starting another beginner pattern on your own or continuing into more advanced Sew She Can classes.
Who it’s for: Beginners who want to understand the steps behind sewing, whether they’re learning for personal projects or exploring a longer path in sewing.
Course length: Six classes, two hours per class
Program fee: $125
