Welcome to sewing club!

Open to sewers of all levels, join Veryan, an industry professional, to sew, darn, alter & create.

Equipment and machines will be available. I’ll be on hand to help with anything you bring to the studio, whether that be a garment you're working on, alterations, mending or starting a new project from scratch.

More information:

• We provide machines, an overlocker, cutting tools & other sewing equipment.
• Threads, bobbins & yarns are available but if you want a specific colour, please bring it along.
• Run by an experienced sewer with a wide variety of skills, able to help with any project including mending, pattern cutting, patchwork, darning & embroidery.
• If you’ve got your own machine, bring it along! We can run through it together to improve your confidence sewing at home.
• Feel free to bring snacks, but drop us a line if you have any allergies, so we can do our best to accommodate you.
• This is a social event so come along whatever your skill level to work on anything you’d like, chat & meet other sewers!

• Bike: Thames River cycle path (16 mins cycle from Greenwich).
• Bus: 161 / 177 / 180 / 472 to Warspite Road bus stop.
• DLR: Woolwich Arsenal (1 minute walk to Plumstead Road and take Route Bus 177 towards Peckham Bus Station or 472 towards North Greenwich Station).
• Road: A2 corridor, first roundabout east of Thames Barrier onto Warspite Road. Free on-site parking.
• Train: From Cannon Street or London Bridge to Woolwich Dockyard (8 minute walk) or Charlton (12 minute walk).
• Tube: North Greenwich (take the Route Bus 472 towards Thamesmead Town Centre).
