About this Event
Learn how to make a simple quilt block and sew one up to donate to our community quilt fundraiser!
Do you want to participate in the Re-Thread Bee community quilt fundraiser but don't know which way is up (or right sides together) when it comes to sewing a quilt block? We've got you covered!
Join the WS and Daliah from the Chicago Textile Center to learn how to make a simple quilt block using mystery scrap fabric. At the end of the class, you will have a finished quilt block to donate to The Bee!
Note: You do NOT need to have already purchased a Re-Thread Scrap Pack in order to attend this workshop. However, you are more than welcome to also buy one if you would like to make more blocks!
Experience Level:
This class is open to all skill levels! It is meant for folks who have never quilted before as well as seasoned sewers/quilters who are looking for a more accessible way to participate in the Re-Thread Bee.
*Note: this class is not intended to cover the entire scope of making a quilt from start to finish. It's just going to cover making a block to donate to The Bee! If you would like to learn how to make a whole quilt, we are also offering a full hand quilting class this summer!*
