About this Event

Saying 'no' is a skill.

Learn to say no with confidence, put your own needs first and let go of the guilt.

Have you ever agreed to something and immediately wished you hadn't?

Taken on something because it felt easier than saying no?

Found yourself giving a long explanation for a perfectly reasonable decision?

Or known that you need better boundaries but still struggled to actually set them?

You're not alone.

Setting boundaries is often talked about as though it's simple: just say no.

But if you naturally like helping people, avoid conflict, worry about disappointing others or feel responsible for keeping everything running smoothly, saying no might not feel simple at all.

And when we repeatedly ignore our own limits, it can show up as frustration, resentment, overwhelm and stress.

This is a practical, interactive workshop exploring what makes boundaries difficult — and, importantly, what we can actually do about it.

What can you expect?

During the workshop, we'll explore how to:

  • Recognise where your boundaries have become blurred and why saying no can feel difficult.
  • Understand how habits, guilt and people pleasing influence your decisions.
  • Give yourself time to think before automatically agreeing to something.
  • Say no clearly, confidently and respectfully.
  • Stop over-explaining or apologising for reasonable decisions.
  • Respond when someone questions, challenges or doesn't like your boundaries.

There will be opportunities to reflect on your own situations, discuss ideas with others and practise some of the language in a supportive environment.

This isn't about becoming harder, less caring or saying no to everything.

It's about recognising that you can be kind, helpful and supportive without always being available.

And learning that boundaries aren't something you either have or don't have.

They're a skill. And skills can be practised.

What will you leave with?

A better understanding of your own boundaries, practical language you can use in everyday situations, and greater confidence to say no without feeling you have to justify every decision.

You'll also have the opportunity to identify one or two changes you can start making straight away.

Who is it for?

This workshop is designed for women who want to feel more confident setting boundaries, particularly if you regularly find yourself thinking:

“I'll just do it.”

“It's easier if I say yes.”

“I don't want them to think I'm difficult.”

“I know I should say no, but…”

“Why do I always end up taking this on?”

You don't need any previous knowledge or training. Just bring yourself — and, if you have one, a situation where you wish saying no felt a little easier.
