Help PYP grow a greener Pensacola! Join us for one of our November Service Saturday as we partner with the Canopy Restoration Project to plant native trees throughout our community.
Following the loss of so many trees during Hurricane Isaias, restoring Pensacola's tree canopy is more important than ever. The Canopy Restoration Project is a grassroots, citizen-driven initiative working to restore Pensacola's native tree canopy for current and future generations. These trees will provide shade along sidewalks and roads, help manage stormwater, support local ecosystems, and contribute to a cleaner, greener, more beautiful Pensacola.
PYP members are invited to join our team for Planting Day on Saturday, November 21. Volunteers will meet at Malaga Square in East Hill at 8:30 a.m. for a brief tree-planting demonstration before heading out in teams to designated planting locations.
What to bring: Work gloves, a shovel if you have one, water, closed-toe shoes that can get dirty, and weather-appropriate clothing. Light refreshments will be provided.
PYP members: Register for the PYP volunteer team through our member portal so we can coordinate our participation! Advance registration is required by Monday, November 16.
