About this Event
Bethesda Medical Mobile Clinic will be with us again!! If you haven't been able to get to the Dr. or don't have insurance...They will see you that night! Sign up for a slot beforehand to be sure that you can get in...there will be a few walk up slots. This is also for your children (just no school exams). They will be available to do women's health/PAP exams or just general check-ups, as well as have medications and labs. Patients must see the doctor in order to have labs drawn. There will be paperwork that you will need to complete if you are seeing them for the first time.
While the appointments are happening...we will have a wonderful session with Jenny Thompson owner of Grounded Grace Pelvic Therapy!
Join us for an honest, practical conversation about the pelvic floor and some of the symptoms so many women quietly live with. We’ll talk about why your pelvic floor may actually need to relax more (not work harder), how stress and your nervous system play a role, and simple ways to help your body let go of tension. You’ll also learn a few easy relaxation poses and myofascial release techniques you can do right at home. Come ready to learn a few things about your body you probably wish someone had told you years ago!
Jenny Thompson graduated from physical therapy school at GA State University in 1997. She believes in treating the body as a whole and has extensive training in myofascial release. Listening to her patients over the many years of working as a physical therapist discuss pelvis related issues encouraged her to specialize in pelvic health. Jenny now has a passion for the field of women’s health and demonstrates compassion and empathy when treating her patients. Her main goal as a physical therapist is to empower her patients while treating issues related to pelvic health.
She enjoys spending time with her husband Jet as well as her five active teenagers, often watching her children play multiple sports, attending church with her family, hiking, reading, and yoga. Jenny is a native Cherokee County resident and coming from a large local family she feels blessed to be able to treat patients in this area . Jenny believes the most important component of healing is a therapeutic touch and working with patients with pelvic health challenges allows her to be able to help many patients feel their best and enjoy their life to the fullest.
