Join us to remember 'Sep' Kelly who died in the Battle of the Somme 110 years ago on this date. We will remember his genius with Australia's premiere of the short film 'Elegy' that has won several international awards with film maker Prof Michael Walsh in attendance from Singapore to introduce the film. We will also be launching Kelly's first full biography written by Dr Therese Radic with a forward by the Awesome Foursome rower Martin Cross who writes about Kelly's 1908 Olympic rowing Gold Medal. This will be followed by a recital by Edward and Stephanie Neeman of Kelly's piano compositions some of which were composed in his dugout by the light of a candle stub. Carrillo Ganter AC will also recite diary excerpts during the recital that will provide a deep insight into Kelly's thoughts at the time.
An extraordinary story of a multi-talented rower, decorated war veteran, pianist and composer. This is a free event with limited capacity so please register your attendance via the link below
