Summertime provides plenty of opportunities to enjoy food, music and loved ones outdoors. This summer there wasn’t a day of the week—when it wasn’t raining—where you couldn’t find a music festival taking place. Just about every city, town or county in the state hosted a house music festival. In these difficult times for many families, there’s something special about house music festivals and watching people forget their problem and spread love through music and dance in a no judgement zone.
On a few occasions this summer, I joined with family and friends to drop by a few local house festivals and visited the food trucks that were serving up wings, tacos, and especially fried fish & shrimp. Crispy deep fried whitings slathered in Frank’s RedHot sauce + Tatar sauce, over a slice of fresh white bread always hits the spot.
This edition of Vittles and Vibes will close the summer with a fish fry serving up hot, crispy seafood “right out the grease.”
