Just as the trees release what they no longer need, the Autumn Equinox offers us a sacred threshold to put down what has run its course – old beliefs, patterns, attachments, relationships, identities, or simply the relentless pace of summer. What are you ready to release?
What are you ready to carry forward?
Through ceremony, breathwork, mantra, prayer, and reflection – we will enter the wisdom of this seasonal transition. Drawing on the yogic teaching of aparigraha – non-possessiveness – and the liberating blessings of Shiva, we will explore letting go not solely as loss, but also as a practice of making space. When we release what is already leaving, we create room for what is ready to emerge. And in the liminal space between endings and beginnings, we can grow trust and steadiness in knowing that we are held, supported, and not walking into the unknown alone.
SHIVA’S BLESSINGS SUPPORT:
Releasing what is no longer supporting you
Loosening attachment to what has run its course
Finding steadiness through times of change and uncertainty
Trusting the natural rhythm of endings and beginnings
WHAT YOU’LL EXPERIENCE:
Invocation of Shiva through ritual and mantra
Teachings on Shiva, and aparigraha – the yogic practice of non-possessiveness and letting go
Fire ritual and offerings to release what you are ready to put down
Prayer and community practice for grounding and trust in the unknown
Prasad (sacred offering) to close and integrate
Anointment of activated charcoal with sacred water from the Ganges River in India
Bring what you are ready to release – and let Shiva’s fire of wisdom hold and transform it.
All are welcome.
This offering is rooted in the Vedic/Yogic lineage and Bhakti Yoga, and honours Satya’s ancestral relationship to these sacred traditions.
