The cost is £15 for the 2-hour seminar.
About Freddie Grice
Freddie Grice is a UKSCA Accredited Strength & Conditioning Coach, former national and international karate medallist, and former full-time karate coach. He is also the founder of FG Personal Training and has over 15 years’ experience in strength, conditioning and physical preparation.
The Seminar
In this seminar, Freddie will explore how the principles of Kihon can be applied directly to Kumite.
Kumite is not a separate sport, nor is it simply about competition or fighting. It is one third of the karate discipline and should follow the same fundamental principles as Kihon and Kata.
The aim of the seminar is to bridge the gap between the fundamentals of karate and Kumite, demonstrating that becoming better at Kumite starts with becoming better at Karate.
Although this won’t be a full-on Kumite session, there will be practical elements looking at the relationship between Kumite and Kihon. We would therefore recommend bringing your mitts and gum shield with you, just in case they are required.
