Welcome to a new weekend in the spirit of Casa da Tone.My weekends are made to spread love, fun, knowledge and respect for authentic kizomba/semba and the culture behind these beautiful dances. Since I never invite people to an African party without serving them food there is always food, snacks, fruit and sweets in my events.
This time with guest teachers from Angola, Finland/Portugal/Sweden and Belgium. I am so proud, glad and humble that the teachers want to come to help me build real kizomba in Oslo.
I only bring you The Best.
All the teaching will be about the most difficult of all: Good basics and musicality. For those who are very new in kizomba I recommend to come to my weekly Wednesday drop in practice before the Casa da Tone weekend.
The teachers will also be available for private classes. Take contact for info and

About our guest teachers
Fanio de Araújo
The first time I met Fanio he was in Europe for the first time, invited to a festival in Germany. I will never forget the private class he gave and also how he was social with everyone in parties. His dance and musicality is of another world. After that first meeting I have met him in Angola several times before he moved to Portugal
He is Angolan and currently based in Lisbon, Portugal.
He is a Kizomba and Semba dance instructor, choreographer, and event organiser with over 14 years of national and international experience, dedicated to promoting and sharing Angolan culture.
In the summer of 2027, he is planning a cultural trip to Angola for anyone interested in discovering the country, its traditions, cuisine, music, and rich cultural heritage.
Kirsi van Sol
I know her from Portugal/Angola. I travelled in her group to Angola the two first times I was there. She knows everyone worth knowing there and was the best guide to know kizomba/semba in Angola. She has been cooperating with me in Oslo before and we make a super team.
Read more :
Kirsi has been a kizomba teacher since 2011 and has been leading trips to Angola since 2017, allowing students to experience the dance at its roots. She has taught students who have gone on become famous teachers worldwide, and she is the first white person who has taught kizomba in Angola, to Angolans. She collaborates continuously with Angolan champions and top artists to bring you the information and knowledge straight from the source, building a bridge between you and the Angolan culture – making it easier for you to learn and understand this rich heritage.
In May 2024, Kirsi was invited to share her experiences at the inaugural conference of the Original Kizomba Association in Angola, where she received an award for her contributions to promoting Angolan culture and tourism, which she regards as her “Oscar for Lifetime Achievement.” Her teaching emphasises musicality and the interpretation of music through the body. To facilitate this, she breaks down the physical techniques of dance from a biomechanical perspective, enabling students to fine-tune and fully utilise their instrument.
If you have a possibility to take a private class with her, do. She is awsome
Our DJs DJ RA /Rabbil Ngwije) and our own DJ Steve (Stefan Maassen) will be presented later All I can say for now is that these DJs KNOW how to play in a real kizomba And they are also excellent dancers. Rabbil might also show up teaching us some dancing since it was as dance teachers we first met.
