About this Event

Participants will learn strategies for engaging students in looking closely at works of art and the natural world, and take part in a hands-on art-making activity that incorporates scientific concepts.

Educators will also be introduced to the new K-12 Educator's Resource Guide, Branching Out: Trees and American Culture, featuring grade-level lessons that connect tree science with works of American art. Each participant will receive a complimentary printed copy of the guide, along with practical ideas for interdisciplinary and STEAM-based teaching.
