Foster Village Peoria is hosting a free, in-person workshop on Saturday, November 21st from 9-11am.Doors open 8:45am. Training starts 9:00am. Training ends at 11:00am.
About the Workshop:
Seeing Kids Clearly: Trauma-Informed Parenting
Children who have experienced trauma or whose developmental and nervous system needs fall outside traditional expectations may not respond to conventional parenting strategies. This training will use practical examples to help caregivers develop a different lens for understanding challenging behavior and learn ways to respond with greater connection, flexibility, and regulation. By learning to support your own nervous system in the moment and understanding how trauma and neurodivergence can affect children’s behaviors, caregivers will learn how to provide stable and secure care
