About this Event
Support Dogs is an internationally pioneering Sheffield based charity providing vital life changing care for children and adults living with long-term medical conditions
For over 30 years the charity has been working to transform the lives of families affected by autism, epilepsy and a wide range of physical disabilities. They provide and train specialist assistance dogs to achieve this.
The charity’s work has a societal value of over £40 million a year, but is facing an overwhelming demand with thousands of requests for support every year. Support Dogs is committed to growing to better meet this demand and last year began a major capital appeal to develop a new, much larger, national centre in Hillsborough.
This event is an exciting opportunity to learn more about the unique, life-saving work of the charity, its wider impact and get a behind-the-scenes look at Support Dogs. Guests will hear from CEO Rita Howson, service users and receive a tour of the new centre. There will of course also be an opportunity to meet the assistance dogs themselves.
Support Dogs is a wonderful Sheffield success story and a growing charity that saves lives and makes real impact both locally and nationally. This is a great chance to see the difference donors can make and find out how you could be a part of it.
