About this Event
Join the Blue Meadows team and Seavive for a hands-on afternoon of seagrass restoration.
Seagrass seeds are central to restoring our meadows. After the seagrass has been collected and processed the seeds are ready to be sorted. Together, we'll separate the seeds from leftover plant matter, clean them, test whether they're viable, and count them.
You'll also learn about the seagrass lifecycle, why these habitats matter, and how Seavive and Blue Meadows are working to bring seagrass meadows back. Expect plenty of seed-based shenanigans!
Everyone is welcome and no experience is needed. The event is outdoors, so please dress for the weather.
This event supports the collaboration between Ocean Conservation Trust and Seavive.
