Join us for a playful, hands-on morning celebrating seeds and the many lives they support. We will collect, clean, store, sow and eat seeds!About this Event
Every seed has somewhere to go. Some will feed the birds, some will find their way into the soil, and some will become next year's gardens.Together, we'll explore the gardens, collect seeds from plants ready to share their bounty (while leaving plenty for birds and other wildlife!), and discover what happens next.
Come get your hands into:
- Seed collecting: Explore the gardens with our team and learn what to gather and what to leave behind.
- Seed cleaning & sorting: Discover what's hiding inside pods, husks and seed heads.
- Seed packaging: Help prepare seeds for future propagation.
- Seed sowing: Give the next generation of plants a head start.
- Seed bomb making: Get creative and make your own little bundle of growing potential.
- Seed-inspired bites: Enjoy a few delicious reminders that seeds feed us, too!
No gardening experience necessary. Come on your own, bring a friend, or make it a family outing. Meet our gardeners, mingle with other nature lovers, and spend a fall morning outdoors.
