Join the South East Chicago Commission (SECC) and The Sophy Hotel for a Shop Local Kick Off Celebration to celebrate holiday shopping and to activate local business districts throughout the year!
Join us on Tuesday November 19th, 2024 from 5:00-7:00pm at the Mesler Kitchen, located inside the Sophy Hotel, at 1401 East 53rd Street Chicago, IL 60615.
Shopping locally at small businesses in our neighborhoods (1) helps maintain the diversity of stores on the mid-south side, (2) builds strong neighborhoods, (3) creates jobs, (4) provides funds for more City services through sales tax, and (5) promotes community development.
SECC encourages residents and visitors to approach the holiday shopping season with small, local businesses in mind, especially for the nationally recognized shopping day known as Small Business Saturday.
Refreshments and entertainment provided. RSVP REQUIRED.
Business or cocktail attire encouraged.
