Improve Your Public Speaking Skills

The GreaterRNBA is launching a Toastmasters club in River North, which is open to the public. The club, named SPOT (Social Professionals of Toastmasters), aims to help you overcome your fear of public speaking or enhance your skills. This interactive session will offer a preview of what to expect at a Toastmasters meeting. The session will consist of:

II. Table Topics

a. Exercise demonstrating how the program aids members in improving

their impromptu speaking skill

b. Constructive written and verbal feedback provided to participants

c. Data on the use of filler words during impromptu speaking shared with

participants

III. Information on how to get involved in the program

Presented by Nick Snyder, owner of Snyder Consulting:

Nick Snyder from Snyder Consulting will lead GRNBA’s Toastmasters program. Nick has been a Toastmasters member for 15 years. He was also a co-owner of SPOT, which originally started on Michigan Avenue before relocating to River North. SPOT operated for five years before closing during the pandemic. Due to the success of the program, GreaterRNBA has revitalized SPOT and will commence meetings in December 2024.
