Create your own textured, stitched seascape in this playful, hands on mixed media workshop. Guided by Shropshire based artist educator Delny Fitrzyk, you’ll explore intuitive techniques such as inks and bleach, watercolours, wax resist, collage, stencils and expressive markmaking, learning how to combine materials in imaginative and experimental ways. Once your piece has taken shape, you’ll have the option to add depth and detail with free machine embroidery, using stitch as a mark making tool to bring your artwork to life.Open to all levels, this workshop celebrates curiosity and creative freedom—there are no rules, just the pleasure of discovery. Please bring your sewing machine if you can (spares available with notice). All essential materials are provided, with optional extras like images, threads and fabric scraps available to use or bring along. Come ready to experiment, explore, and enjoy the playful possibilities of mixed media and stitch.
Delny is a Shropshire based mixed media textile artist and teacher. Her work is inspired by nature and her surroundings – particularly the Shropshire landscape.
