A casual group hike by SDK. No speed dating, timed rotations, or prompt cards—just a relaxed outdoor mixer to connect naturally! What to Expect:
Join us for a gorgeous, moderately adventurous group hike to visit both Crawford waterfalls!
The Route: We’ll meet in the parking lot and start along the upper edge before taking a steep descent down switchbacks, stairs, and ladder sections into the canyon to reach the Lower Fall (approx. 15–20 mins). From there, we’ll do a bit of fun, hands-on boulder scrambling upstream to the Upper Fall (approx. 10–15 mins). Super basic climbing no experience needed just an open mind! Once we reach the falls, we'll pause for a quick break to relax, chat, and enjoy a complimentary snack included with your ticket!
The Workout: The climb back out of the canyon is a great cardio workout (approx. 20–30 mins).
Time & Pace: Expect about 2 hours total for a relaxed, steady pace with plenty of time to recharge, chat, and take photos at both falls.
Where We Meet:
We will be meeting in the Crawford Falls parking lot on South Perimeter Way https://share.google/GrhvmsknuqbXIWE3Y
How It Works:
We’ll meet as a group in the Crawford Falls parking lot on South Perimeter Way. This is a guided, non-speed-dating event with a completely unstructured format. No timed rounds, prompt cards, or mini-dates. It’s simply a casual, natural way to get outdoors and connect with fellow locals, where you'll get out of it what you put in.
Everyone is welcome, the event is LGBTQ+ friendly, and you can comfortably join on your own or bring a single friend along.
A Note on Ratios:
Because this is a relaxed group hike and natural social mixer (not structured speed dating), we don't manage strict gender-to-gender ratios for this event. It's all about getting outdoors, meeting great people, and expanding your SDK social circle!
Atmosphere:
Friendly, welcoming, and guided from start to finish—no pressure and no awkward conversations if you don't feel like it. You don’t need to be outgoing; just come as you are and you'll get out of this what you put in!
Dress Code:
Please wear sturdy hiking shoes or trail runners with good traction, as the canyon trail has loose gravel and can get muddy or slippery. We also recommend dressing in weather-appropriate layers so you stay comfortable throughout the hike.
What to Bring:
Be sure to bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated, and feel free to pack any extra personal snacks if you’d like a little extra fuel.
After the Event:
Stick around at the waterfall to hang out, or head off with your new friends from the SDK community to grab a coffee or lunch nearby after we finish!
