Short film documenting my time spent in Ghana uncovering the life of my great grandfather, the journalist and Pan-Africanist Sam Morris.
About this Event

An evening of music, discussion and a screening of the documentary. Sam Morris was born on the small Caribbean Island of Grenada, but his life took him to the UK, Ghana, China, the Soviet Union and beyond. Working as a headteacher, army corporal and BBC Broadcaster in the UK led him to a job as Press Liasion Officer to Kwame Nkrumah, the first President of Ghana. This year marks the 50th anniversary of Sam Morris' death, so this event will be a celebration of his life and an opportunity to share my great grandfather's story to a wider audience.
