Take a ringside seat to Rocky's big screen return, in celebration of its 50th anniversary, 4K restored. Each attendee will receive a free illustrated poster by Irish illustrator Cathal Duane.Struggling Philadelphia boxer Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) has a chance to become a somebody when heavyweight champion Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers) comes up with the Bicentennial gimmick of fighting a sure-ringer and easily winning the bout himself. But someone forgot to tell Rocky, who trains earnestly. And in the climactic fight sequence, the "Italian Stallion" gets his wish: to go the distance... against all the odds.
Screening as part of the Naughton Gallery’s SCREEN/PRINT series in collaboration with QFT and UsFolk. This specially commissioned illustrated poster for Rocky was created by Irish illustrator Cathal Duane.
