About this Event
Hosted by Matt Chambers and Karen Taylor - whisky and spirits writers, influencers and presenters, and co-founders of the North London Whisky Club and award-winning Whisky For Everyone website.
For this event we welcome Andrew Wallace from the Glengyle distillery in Campbeltown. It is the least known of the town's three operating distilleries but has a cult following for its range of single malts, which are released under the Kilkerran name.
This is one of just three such tastings that the brand is doing in London during 2026.
Andrew is bringing SIX whiskies for the tasting, including small batch, limited edition and rare expressions. Glengyle is a very traditional distillery and produces three styles of single malt - the classic lightly peated Kilkerran, a heavily peated version and a small amount of rare triple distilled spirit. We will be sampling examples of each during the evening.
PLEASE NOTE | The line-up for the tasting may not include bottlings as shown above.
The tasting will take place in The Duke of St. Albans, a fabulous pub close to Hampstead Heath, NW5. This is 15 minutes walk from both Kentish Town and Archway underground stations (Northern Line / High Barnet branch) and around 12 minutes walk from Gospel Oak overground station (Mildmay Line). Several local bus routes also stop nearby - 88, 214 and C11.
The tasting will last approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
Please feel free to arrive early for a pre-tasting drink or bite to eat. The pub has a great selection of craft beers, wine and an eclectic collection of spirits.
No previous whisky knowledge needed, just enthusiasm and interest.
All guests are asked to Drink Responsibly.
Strictly over 18s only. Please bring ID if you are lucky enough to look close to that age.
