"Whale Sharks, Maps, and Tourists: Finding Space for Marine Wildlife"
Whale sharks draw travelers from around the globe, but growing marine tourism raises real questions about how we share ocean space with the wildlife people come to see.
Dr. Morales-Ramirez uses mapping and spatial planning to explore where human activity and marine conservation collide, and how we might make room for both.
This event is free and open to all, so bring your family and your questions! There'll be plenty of time to chat with the speaker and fellow curious minds.
