An Evening of Schubert: Peter Bryce & Max CaplanExperience an evening of classical music at Mount Ida Preservation Hall, featuring bass vocalist Peter Bryce and pianist Max Caplan in a recital of songs by Franz Schubert.
Written near the end of Schubert's short life, these deeply expressive works explore themes of exile, lost love, regret, and mortality. Through fourteen songs, Bryce and Caplan invite audiences to reflect on lives cut short, the enduring power of music, and the messages we leave for those we love.
The program includes a solo piano performance, two sets of Schubert songs, and a brief intermission.
This performance is free and open to the public. The recital will benefit the Innocence Project, an organization dedicated to exonerating wrongfully convicted individuals and reforming the criminal justice system. Donations are welcome but not required to attend.
