One of the most acclaimed contemporary operas of the past decade, "Scalia/Ginsburg" comes to Fort Worth in its North Texas premiere at the historic Ridglea Theater.
This sharp-witted and unexpectedly moving comedy by Derrick Wang explores the unlikely friendship between U.S. Supreme Court Justices Antonin Scalia and Ruth Bader Ginsburg, proving that even the greatest ideological rivals can find common ground.
Since its 2015 premiere, "Scalia/Ginsburg" has captivated audiences across the country with its humor, heart, and emotional depth. The late Ruth Bader Ginsburg herself called the opera "a dream come true."
Directed by Audrey Chait and conducted by Stephanie Rhodes Russell, the production stars acclaimed tenor Peter Scott Drackley as Scalia, Metropolitan Opera and Broadway favorite Jennifer Zetlan as Ginsburg, and lyric bass Andrew Simpson as the witty Commentator. They are joined by musicians of the Chamber Music Society of Fort Worth for an intimate, vibrant performance.
