About this Event
When you’re starting out, it’s easy to underprice a job, forget about some of your costs, or look at the money coming in and think you’re making more than you really are.
This hands-on workshop will help you understand the basics of pricing and estimating so you can quote your work with more confidence—and make sure you’re actually making money.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll have:
- A simple way to work out what to charge for a job
- A clear understanding of revenue, costs, and profit—and why the difference matters
- A better idea of what to include when pricing a job
- A repeatable approach you can use when quoting future work

This workshop is for people in the skilled trades at any stage, including:
- Apprentices and journeypersons thinking about working for themselves
- Tradespeople preparing to take on their first independent jobs
- New contractors pricing their first few jobs
