There's no assigned reading, no deadlines, and no pressure. Simply bring whatever you're currently reading and enjoy an hour of uninterrupted silent reading alongside fellow book lovers.
Attend on your own or bring friends. Whether you're diving into a new novel, revisiting an old favorite, or working through your latest nonfiction read, all readers are welcome.
Before and after the reading hour, you'll have the opportunity to socialize, share book recommendations, discover new reads, or simply continue reading at your own pace.
Event Schedule:
10:30-11:00 AM: Arrive, settle in, order a food & drink, and chat with fellow readers
11:00 AM-Noon: Silent reading hour (the magic hour!)
Noon-12:30 PM: Optional social time, continued reading, and farewells
Reservations: Space is limited and reservations are required due to venue capacity. If the event is sold out, follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and the Bookclubs app for waitlist updates and potential openings.
Community Donation Drive: We're proud to support MICAH House and will be accepting donations at this event. Additional details will be shared soon, and attendees who donate will be entered for a chance to win raffle prizes.
Book Swap: If you have a book(s) you'd like to rehome with other readers, bring it for the book swap table!
A reminder email with additional event details and helpful information will be sent by Silent Book Club Omaha before the event.
