Say Darling are a New England roots-rock band led by Grammy-nominated Della Mae vocalist Celia Woodsmith and guitarist Chris Hersch, formerly of Girls Guns & Glory. Formed in 2016, the group draws from blues, soul, country, and rock & roll, pairing Woodsmith’s powerhouse vocals with Hersch’s guitar work and a Hammond B3-driven rhythm section; their sound has been likened to the funky drive of Little Feat, the soul of Bonnie Raitt, and the musicianship of the Tedeschi Trucks Band.
