Saturday Retreat: Praying with Photographs

For many years people have prayed with paintings and icons, but the principles of Visio Divina can be equally applied to praying with photographs and in taking photographs in a prayerful way. During this day retreat there will be time to pray and share the gifts of praying with photographs.

We will be looking at the photographs of Thomas Merton, and others, as well as having a go at contemplative photography in the afternoon – seeing what God might be inviting us to see. No photography experience is needed simply bring a smartphone or digital camera.
