About this Event
Join us for a hands-on evening of stitching, creativity and mindful mending as we explore the art of Japanese sashiko embroidery at skout. Led by textile professional and repair artist Maisie Jane, this relaxed workshop will introduce you to the tradition of sashiko — a simple yet striking way to repair and breathe new life into well-loved textiles.
Maisie will guide you through the stitches and techniques, sharing her knowledge and helping you find your own rhythm along the way. Whether you’re picking up a needle for the very first time or already enjoy giving old clothes a new lease of life, everyone is welcome.
Settle in, enjoy a drink and some nibbles, and spend the evening learning something new in good company. All materials are included in your ticket, and you’re welcome to bring along a garment or textile that needs a little love, or simply experiment with the materials provided. Come along, slow down, and discover a thoughtful and creative way to make mending part of your everyday life.
