Described by The Times as “like Dylan on amphetamines” and praised by The Guardian for her “superior lyrics,” Sarah Gillespie is a captivating songwriter blending folk, blues, jazz and Beat poetry.Following intimate performances in California, Gillespie and acclaimed guitarist Chris Montague recorded a stripped-back duo album inspired by the landscapes of Scotland. Their music combines Gillespie’s powerful storytelling and poetic lyricism with Montague’s inventive guitar work, creating songs that are both tender and explosive.
Expect an evening of beautifully-crafted songs, raw emotion and fearless musicianship from two exceptional artists.
