About this Event

Join and Barnes & Noble Philadelphia on Tuesday, January 13th at 6pm at Barnes & Noble Philadelphia (1708 Chestnut Street) for a discussion of her Campus History Series book on , as well as the lasting legacy of the nation's first university dedicated exclusively to education and training in the visual, design, performing, and media arts.

General Admission Ticket ***LIMITED QUANTITY AVAILABLE:

  • Registering for a General Admission Ticket guarantees entrance to the event for the discussion and signing.
  • Seating: Limited quantity is available and will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Standing Room-Only: Limited quantity is available and will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. In the event all seating is filled, ticket holders will be granted a standing view from behind the seated audience -- some views may be more limited/obstructed than others.

ABOUT

Sara MacDonald was a University of the Arts (UArts) librarian from 1987-2020 where she was in charge of the archives and answered hundreds of UArts history questions. In 2006 she, along with her colleague Eugene A. Bolt, Jr., co-authored The University of the Arts (ISBN 0-7385-4521-X) part of the Arcadia Publishing Campus History Series. Sara has spoken on UArts history most recently at the Historical Society of Pennsylvania and at the Rose Valley Museum.
