The 6th Santa Barbara Surf Film Festival returns to its birthplace, the Arlington Theatre. The evening program will feature short films, a feature film, and the Legendary Award.
The Santa Barbara Surf Film Festival celebrates the rich surf history and the diverse storytelling styles of the filmmakers, artists, shapers, and surfers who started it all. The festival started in 2019 with the idea to combine the love of cinema, ocean conservation and community. Aligning with the festival's mission to protect the ocean, the SBSFF supports three local non-profits: Heal the Ocean, the Surf Happens Foundation and the Surfrider Santa Barbara Chapter. We hope to inspire future surf innovators and support our surf community. Our goal is to create a comprehensive celebration of filmmakers, wave riders and stewards of our oceans.
