Open Doubles (Teams of 2. Any combination of players: Male/Male, Female/Female, or Coed).
Date & Time: Saturday November 21st beginning at 9am
Games start at 9:00 AM
Location: Sand Mountain Park Sand Courts (2 Courts total)
Space is strictly limited to 6 teams per division, so sign up fast!
Division 1: Advanced (Gold)
Who it’s for: Experienced players, league regulars, and anyone who can consistently pass, set, and spike. You want high-intensity, competitive games.
Net Height: Set to standard Men’s height (7'11").
Gameplay: Strict beach rules (no open-hand tipping, clean setting hands).
Division 2: Beginner / Intermediate (Silver)
Who it’s for: Casual players, backyard enthusiasts, or those new to 2v2 sand play. You are here for fun, active rallies, and a good time.
Net Height: Set to standard Women’s height (7'4") to keep rallies long and accessible
Gameplay: Relaxed, casual rec rules. Fun and safety come first.
How the Day Works:
Pool Play: Every team will play a minimum of 5 short matches in the morning to determine playoff seeding. Pool play matches will be 1 set played to 21. Win by 2.
Bracket Play: After pool play concludes teams will be moved to Bracket play and seeded based on records in pool play
Ref Duties: To keep the tournament moving, teams will take turns refereeing and flipping the scoreboard when they aren’t playing.
