About this Event
As October comes to a close, we approach the darkest time of the year and slowly begin to transition into winter. It is time to give thanks for the fall harvest, as well as to let go of anything that we cannot carry through the colder seasons. In this spirit, we invite you to join us in a special Sanctuary Session to celebrate fall, featuring a sound bath with guided movement. Studio owner Simon Drew’s live improvisation on instruments like the didgeridoo and traditional flutes will take us on a sound journey, and in this edition, dancer Nicole Tyler will guide us in movement improvisation. No dance experience is required. Nicole will prompt us to move to the music in a way that feels good for each person, but you choose how you move and what you do. The idea is for us to connect to our breath, our bodies, and the present moment. Sitting or standing in stillness is of course also allowed! This gathering is deeply spiritual and is designed to help strengthen the community as well as to support and hold each individual. We hope you will join us in this special space to honor the season of fall through music and dance.
