HOUSE SHOW
---------------
Eleuthera will offer monthly house shows at Sanctuary, usually the last weekend of the month. Each month she'll be joined by different wonderful local musicians. This month's guest is Sarah Kennedy.
–
Sarah Kennedy is a jazz vocalist, bandleader, and songwriter born in Vancouver and based in Montreal. Known for her light and smooth voice, her profound expressiveness, and a touch of humor, Sarah reveals a musical personality that is both tender and playful through an eclectic repertoire.
Her vocal training is rooted in jazz and the Great American Songbook, but she has also absorbed a wide range of pop influences through her many performances at weddings and private events. As a solo artist, she prefers to take her audience on adventures through her original songs.
For the past few years, Sarah has been intensely devoted to the art of songwriting. After a long period of incubation, she is now beginning to share her world with others. Her style could be described as jazz-tinged folk-pop. Her songs tackle the mystery of existence, reveal the psychology of birds, engage with the voice of magic, and explore all sorts of unlikely topics. Most of her songs are still unreleased—but follow her this year to hear them as they come out.

As a photographer, Eleuthera's work is autobiographical and poetic. It captures the magical in the mundane, our inner worlds projected outwards and mirrored back, that we may find healing and revelation.
Her most recent work, Entre Mundos ( Between Worlds), explores the themes of immigration, exile, incarceration, and the consequences they have on individuals and their family ties.
