About this Event
Following a very successful first meeting in August - we're back for round 2! And once again, the lovely folks at Institut for ( X ) have kindly agreed to co-host this free-to-attend event. Samvær Sessions is for musicians and those in music-related areas who want to get away from screens and make better connections in real life - like us humans are meant to! It's a community for sure, but run by me - Tim Heymerdinger - a pro drummer/composer from London who hates the superficiality of the online world.
To be clear - this ISN'T a mingle. It's more valuable because it's more focussed, but don't be scared - Samvær Sessions will always be a welcoming, inclusive space for musicians at all levels. You can expect:
- an opportunity to speak to the room to introduce yourself and ask for what you need. And - see how your own network can help others.
- to find acts to join or find new band members.
- to ask for recommendations and contacts to music-related services.
- Engineers, studios and producers also looking for acts to work with.
- to get advice and support from others.
- a really nice selection of drinks at the bar, on arrival, during a break and after we finish with an open networking/hang-out!
Anyone music-adjacent services are welcome too - bookers, agents, designers, labels, management, studio-owners and other creatives needing musical input!
As with all the awesome events at Institut for X, good behaviour and respect for others is expected - please see the venue's Code Of Conduct. Samvær Sessions will always be a safer space for people of all backgrounds, abilities, genders, orientations and neurotypes.
