Sam Steigmann is an 88 year old Holocaust survivor from Czernovitz, Bukovina
About this Event
Sami Steigmann | International Speaker | Holocaust - Genocide
At 86 years old, Sami Steigmann is a Holocaust survivor, motivational speaker, and passionate advocate for Holocaust education, tolerance, and standing up against hatred.
Born in 1939 in Czernowitz, Romania (now part of Ukraine), Sami was just a young child when he and his family were deported to a Nazi labor camp in Transnistria. From 1941 to 1944, he endured unimaginable hardships, including being subjected to Nazi medical experimentation. Against all odds, Sami and his parents survived.
Today, Sami has dedicated his life to sharing his remarkable story with audiences around the world, particularly young people. His message goes beyond remembering the Holocaust—it is about resilience, courage, overcoming adversity, and the responsibility each of us has to stand up against antisemitism, prejudice, and injustice.
Through his warmth, humor, and extraordinary outlook on life, Sami inspires audiences to recognize that while we cannot always control what happens to us, we can choose how we respond.
Join us for a rare and unforgettable opportunity to hear firsthand from an 86-year-old Holocaust survivor, learn from his extraordinary journey, and discover the power of hope, perseverance, and standing up for what is right.
As the number of living Holocaust survivors continues to diminish, opportunities to hear their stories firsthand become increasingly precious. This is more than a history lesson—it is an experience that will stay with you long after the evening ends.
