Sunset Samhuinn Sabbath
The Night Between Worlds
As the sun sets over North Berwick Law, step out of the ordinary and into the liminal space of Samhuinn — the ancient Celtic festival marking the turning of the year and the thinning of the veil between worlds.
Sunset Samhuinn Sabbath is an intimate evening of ritual, folklore, connection and magic, created for a small group of just eight people.
We will gather at the foot of North Berwick Law in the late afternoon and begin our ascent as daylight fades. As we climb into the dusk, we’ll explore the traditions, folklore and symbolism of Samhuinn before reaching the summit — where the evening truly begins.
At the top, surrounded by the landscape and the gathering darkness, you’ll be welcomed into a Samhain ritual led by an experienced facilitator. There will be offerings, intention-setting, reflection and a chance to honour the turning of the wheel and whatever you are ready to leave behind.
We’ll warm ourselves with spiced chai before making our descent beneath the night sky, carrying the atmosphere of the ritual with us.
Once back in North Berwick, we’ll continue the evening over a seasonal, sharing style meal in a cosy local pub, followed by tarot and rune readings, giving you the opportunity to explore what the coming season might hold.
This is not a performance or a class. It is an opportunity to step into the season, experience Samhuinn in a meaningful way, and spend an evening immersed in folklore, ritual and a little bit of magic.

Warm spiced chai enjoyed at the summit as darkness falls.

Make our way back down the Law together beneath the night sky.

Gather in a cosy North Berwick pub for a seasonal meal and drinks.

Close the evening with tarot and rune readings, reflection and divination.
✦ What to Expect ✦
This is a small, intimate gathering limited to 8 guests, allowing us to create a more personal and immersive experience.
You don't need any previous experience with witchcraft, ritual, tarot or runes. Whether you're already deeply connected to these traditions or simply curious to experience Samhuinn in a different way, you are welcome.
You will need to be comfortable walking uphill over uneven and sometimes steep ground, and descending after dark. Please come prepared with warm, weatherproof clothing and sturdy footwear, and bring a working torch or headlamp.
The outdoor portion of the evening is weather dependent. If conditions make the ascent unsafe, the outdoor element may be shortened, altered or moved indoors so that the evening can still take place safely.
