Samhain Service: An Evening for the Beloved Dead. The year turns toward its dark half, and we gather to remember.
Join Compass Grove Fellowship on Sunday, November 1st, for our Samhain service: an evening of feast, ritual, and drum held in honor of those who came before us.
Samhain marks the close of the harvest and the threshold of winter, a night long kept for remembrance, when the living set a place at the table for the dead and speak their names aloud.
We begin with a potluck supper. Bring a dish to share, and if it carries a memory, all the better: your grandmother's cornbread, the casserole your father made every holiday, the dessert someone you loved could never refuse.
Ritual follows. We ask each guest to bring something that keeps a loved one close: a photograph, a keepsake, a story worth telling, a favorite food. Every offering will hold a place at the heart of our ritual, and every name will be welcome.
We close with the drum circle, carrying the evening out on a living pulse.
This gathering is free, family friendly, and open to seekers of every path and of none. Bring your children, your grief, your gratitude, and your curiosity. There is room for all of it.
